Sign Language Interpreting.

TCS provides on-site sign language interpreting for any setting. We provide these services with the most highly qualified interpreters in the industry. All of our interpreters pass a quality assurance screening to ensure they have the skills, professionalism, and cultural sensitivity necessary to provide the highest-level services. Interpreting services are provided on a Full-Time, Part-Time, and Ad-Hoc basis depending on the level of support needed. TCS provides interpreting services in a variety of settings, not limited to; Corporate, Government, Medical, Legal, Educational, and more.

TCS provides the following modes of communication:

Video Remote Interpreting (VRI).

TCS Video Remote Interpreting (TCSVRI) provides interpreting services remotely located to deliver immediate and convenient interpreting services between Deaf & Hard-of-Hearing and Hearing individuals who are in the same location. We provide these services with the most highly qualified interpreters in the industry. All of our interpreters pass a quality assurance screening test to ensure they have the skills, professionalism, and cultural sensitivity necessary to provide the highest-level services. TCSVRI is provided in a variety of settings, not limited to; Corporate, Government, Medical, Legal, Educational, and more. TCSVRI is not appropriate for every setting, but our highly skilled team will work with you to determine your usage. With TCSVRI, you are minutes away from having an interpreter!

TCS Associates’ Legal Interpreting Practice Group.

TCS Associates’ Legal Interpreting Practice GroupTCS Associates Communication Solutions division offers high quality legal interpreting services under the guise of its Legal Interpreting Practice Group.

Our interpreters are certified by the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) and have been trained in legal interpreting.  Our core team of legal interpreters hold the Specialist Certificate: Legal from the RID.  Our legal interpreters work in state and federal courts, in law offices, with court reporting services and in law enforcement settings.  Our legal interpreting team performs a task analysis of the requirements of the assignment and proper staffing to balance efficiency for our consumers.  Additionally, the  Legal Interpreting Practice Group has the ability to offer interpreting services through video remote interpreting using secure high speed internet access. While not appropriate for all legal environments, video remote interpreting strikes a balance between high quality certified and trained interpreters and cost effectiveness for our legal partners.   Finally, our legal interpreters are able to prepare high quality translations into American Sign Language of commonly used forms such as a financial affidavit or petition for protection from abuse.

Typewell.

Typewell Services are used for live transcription that can be provided both on-site and remotely. Typewell Services can be provided on a 1:1 basis or projected for a larger audience view. Typewell provides clients with meaning-for-meaning real-time transcription. Additionally, all of our writers pass a quality assurance screening to ensure they have the skills, professionalism, and cultural sensitivity necessary to provide the highest-level services.

CART.

Computer-Aided Real Time (CART) Services are used for live transcription that can be provided both on-site and remotely. CART Services can be provided on a 1:1 basis or projected for a larger audience view. CART provides clients with word-for-word real-time transcription. Additionally, all of our writers pass a quality assurance screening to ensure they have the skills, professionalism, and cultural sensitivity necessary to provide the highest-level services.

Disability Awareness Training.

In order to implement a successful communication solution strategy, we believe that proper training and instruction is critical. Our staff of industry experts has an in-depth knowledge of the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing community and culture requirements and a clear understanding of the needs of people with disabilities in the workplace. We provide educational classes to those who are interested in learning more about ensuring a positive and successful working strategy.

ASL Classes.

Whether you just know the alphabet or have been using ASL for year, TCS is the place to come and learn! ASL Classes are provided for Basic, Moderate, and Advanced users of ASL. Classes are conducted in 6, 8, 10, and 12 weeks and can be customized to meet your organizational needs. All class materials and books are provided.
